Many Kenya's were in jubilant yesterday on labour day celebration as president Uhuru Kenyatta addressed the Nation. In his speech he said that schools will be opened next week that is on 10th May 2021.
This news has been welcomed by many people as the rate of drug abuse and pregnancy among students is very high. Reopening of schools will minimize these as students are more safer when in schools compared to when they are home.
The ministry of Education responded Immidiately by drafting latest school calendar that will run up to 2023 for primary, secondary, colleges and universities.with this calendar, many parents thinks that their children will in safer hands.
The president also uplifted curfew hours and lockdown. This will help people to carry out business activities for longer time per day. Furthermore, traders will enable to purchase goods across the country and sell them hence improving their living standards of many Kenya's.
