After his unceremonious dismissal from the cabinet position , former Agriculture cabinet secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri hasn't been sure of what political direction to take . His party TSP having no presidential candidate left him hanging in the middle between supporting deputy president William Ruto or president Uhuru Kenyatta who dismissed him .
Today in a function attended by deputy president William Ruto , Kiunjuri declared his full support to Ruto . Emphasizing what the DP has been saying , he said that BBI wasn't a priority for the country and that Uhuru Kenyatta and his government should focus on other important things like 2022 campaigns . He said that it was time for the campaigns .
"The Service Party leader Hon. Mwangi Kiunjuri joined Deputy President Dr. William Ruto for a Sunday Service at AIC Engineer Church in Nyandarua County, and thereafter a funds drive in aid of the Church. Hon. Kiunjuri gave a personal donation of kshs. 200,000. During his address, TSP leader said that the time is ripe to drop the BBI campaigns and redirect political muscles to 2022 campaign ," wrote the TSP party .
The sentiments by Kiunjuri is contrary to what the president has been preaching , he has been condemning his deputy and his allies for engaging in early campaigns instead of working for the people of Kenya .
His move to join William Ruto further shakes the political grounds of Uhuru Kenyatta in central region as his current enemy William Ruto continue to infiltrate the region . It's however a boost to TangaTanga who continue to amass central Kenya leaders to their camp.
Kiunjuri was accompanied by other leaders from the region including , Kimani Ichungwa , Alice Wahome and other leaders from Nyandarua .
