Garissa Woman Representative Hon Anab Sunob Gure who was elected in August 8th 2017 on Jubilee ticket has told opposition leader Raila Odinga to respect Deputy President William Ruto as he visits her county tomorrow Sunday.The legislator also warned the Orange Democratic Movement leader and his supporters against insulting the second in command as he holds his meetings and rallies in Garissa county tomorrow.
Raila Odinga is seeking to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta as his term comes to an end in August next year. He will be competing for the highly coveted seat with with Deputy President William Ruto, Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka and KANU Leader Gideon Moi.
Odinga has been on a charm offensive campaigning in several parts of the country. A week ago he was in Mt Kenya region where he made several regional leaders. He held consultative meetings with four Mt Kenya Governors and a wealthy group of billionaires from the region on Tuesday.
"I take this opportunity to welcome you to the Home of Hirola. We respect you as an elder and a statesman. But as you go to Garissa, please accord respect to the FIFTH PRESIDENT H.E WILLIAM RUTO. In your townhall meetings and rallies, tell your people to minimize the insults to our FIFTH P.O.R.K. Mama Kaunti sends you greetings. Any insults against H.E RUTO shall be met with a similar fireback from ME." Anab said in a tweet.
