The president made his speech clear. The president also showed a great gratitude to all wokers of Kenya by recognizing the best efforts of their labour, that is from factory to factory, from field to field, from office to office which has transformed Kenyan country from year to year and without doubt from generation to generation.He also noted that without labour there's no prosperity.
Although, unexpected pandemic came in, but we have managed to celebrate this day. The economy has also slowed down since the pandemic which has negatively affected the workers.
Above all these, the president also remembered our forefathers who fought for their great work and made this day a holiday. They include Tom mboya, Fred kubai, Ather achuodo, Lubembe, Denis akumu, Martin shikuku, Jaydey kali among others.
Finally he thanked all Kenyans for their efforts in fighting the pandemic. And he gave honoured advice to everybody by issuing a public order three. The orders were as follows.
a) Regarding to the zoned areas comprising counties of Nairobi, Kajiado, Nakuru, Machakos and Kiambu the ceasation movement in and out of the counties is lifted
b) The hours of curfew in the zoned areas are revised from 10pm and end at 4am starting this day until otherwise directed.
c) Churches shall resume in strict fidelity to the guidelines issued by ministry of health. And the attending congregation should be one third of the attending capacity.
d) The operations of restaurants and hotels in zoned areas shall resume to the guidelines issued by the ministry of health and the ministry of tourism and wildlife.
For the entirety of the republic of Kenya he directed that.
a) All the education institutions in all levels of learning shall reopen in accordance to the calendar for education.
b) Resumption of sporting activities guided by the regulations should be carried out accordingly.
c) All bars of Kenya are to operate until 7pm.
d) All employers and enterprises are encouraged to allow their workers to work from home with the exception to employees who can only offer services physically.
e) All hospitals are directed to limit the number of visitors to hospitals, that is, one visitor per patient per day.
f) Political gathering is extended until otherwise directed
g) All other containment measures and guidelines are still enforced dutifully
He finalize by saying that These restrictions were put with no joy only to protect the lives of Kenyans.
