Former presidential candidate Mwalimu Abduba Dida has come to the defense of the member of parliament for the Embakasi East constituency, Hon. Babu Owino, who has been attacked by his counterpart in the Homabay town constituency, Peter Opondo Kaluma.
In response to the documentary on former Prime Minister Raila Odinga's defeat in the August General Elections that was broadcast on a regional television station, Opondo lashed out at the younger lawmaker.

He discredited the documentary by stating that Babu and Kanchory are unreliable sources of information and that the documentary should be disregarded.
On the other hand, when Mwalimu Dida was responding to this, Kaluma was being reprimanded, and Mwalimu Dida argued that Babu is superior to him because he ran for a seat in Nairobi county and defended it, whereas Only Raila achieved both of these things.
"With all due respect, Mheshimiwa, @HEBabuOwino has accomplished what before only @RailaOdinga had done. It won't be simple to come out on top in Nairobi and keep that seat for yourself." He said.
"After you have competed in Embakasi East and made your comparisons, you should let Babu compete for your seat in Homa Bay. When it comes to politics, Babu is regarded to be your senior." He issued a challenge to the outspoken politician.
