Bungoma county Governor Wycliffe Wangamati has been thrown into deep mourning after loss of a close friend and a mentor to many.
Taking it to his official facebook account, Governor Wangamati shared that he had learnt with great shock and disbelief of the passing of Mama Janet Khaoya who was a great educationist and philanthropist of Bungoma county.
Mama Khaoya succumbed through a tragic road accident on Saturday night along Kitale - Webuye highway.
Mama Janet has been eulogized by the governor as a great teacher who impacted many. She even went further to establish Ten Star Academy which was among the pioneer private schools in Bungoma county.
In an emotional message, Governor Wangamati promised that his government was going to stand with the family until mama is given a descent send off.
