Former Bomet Governor Ruto made a a stopover at Kapwen markets as he lured the residents to vote for him ahead of 2022 and also Deputy President who will be going for the presidential seat. He declared that it is now time to reclaim his position as he declared that governor Barchok has failed to deliver what he had promised the residents and he promised that he will accomplish them.
Furthermore, he shifted blames on governor Barchok for shifting markets in the county as he revealed that residents are wasting a lot of time while traveling from their home to market and it also affect the economy of the county since the market belongs to other counties. He claimed that Chebunyo market and Mulot market is not available for the people of Bomet County and he promised the residents that he will bring them back as soon he is elected as the governor.
