Cracks and disagreement has once again engulfed Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition as the candidates assumed weak on the ground maintain their stand that they will be on the ballot. This week, the leader of the Azimio-Oka Coalition Rt. Hon. Raila Amollo Odinga chaired the Azimio Council meetings in which they all agreed that weak candidates were to step down.
In what is going to be seen as a big tussle, the presumed weak candidates have so far refused to bow out of the race. Today, Hon. Edwin Sifuna told Mathare Parliamentary Aspirant Hon. Bahati to step down to allow an easy win for ODM incumbent Hon. Anthony Oluoch. However, Bahati on his part told off Sifuna and even warned him for misleading voters.
“Dear Azimio… stop misleading the voters of Mathare. Bahati – MP Mathare has not stepped down for anyone," The Mama hit maker wrote on his Facebook page.
In addition, Bahati questioned the propaganda being spread that he had already stepped down in favour of his ODM opponent.
“I have seen a lot of propaganda by Sifuna and Shebesh going viral. I heard it while in the ground, Bahati Kioko is still in the race as the next Member of Parliament Mathare constituency,” Bahati added furiously.
The ball is back in the net of Azimio Councils to deal with the rising matter which might look simple but mighty. The Azimio Leaders are yet to respond on Bahati's remarks.
