In the aftermath of President-elect William Ruto's Kenya Kwanza camp receiving some members that were allied to the Azimio-OKA coalition and others that had won in the August 9th election as independents, lawyer Wahome Thuku who is one of Azimio's top bloggers has joked that Wiper and Jubilee should join the President-elect's umbrella.
Wahome Thuku who got back his posting privileges on Facebook today on August 18th after being restricted for 62 hours following an inappropriate video he had shared some days ago, sarcastically said that maybe the incoming administration won't need checks and balances.
That if that's the case, then there's no need for the aforementioned parties to be in the opposition should the DP form the next administration.
The message he had posted on his backup page and shared the same on his verified account read that "all newly elected Jubilee, Wiper and Independent MPs should decamp to Kenya Kwanza.
Don't worry what the law says should happen to them, they should just decamp. I don't think Ruto's Government will need oversight.
I don't think it will need checks and balances. I don't think it will need opposition or even need to be kept on its toes. It has no toes."
He also joked that "the Kenyan clergy are already inside the Ruto administration. Some diplomats are already their foot soldiers. This will be an administration made in heaven for real.
We are waiting for the swearing in, so that fertiliser can drop to 1,500 in a week. Unga to drop to 90. Ksh50 billion in the budget for Hustlers, free bundles, free education. Who would want to oppose such a Government?"
