Arati Sends a Message to Uhuru Over Raila's Bid, Predicts Number of Votes Odinga Will Get in Nyanza

Dagoretti North Member of Parliament Simba Arati has send a gratitude message to President Uhuru Kenyatta for supporting ODM leader Raila Odinga's presidential bid.

According to the Kisii gubernatorial aspirant, Uhuru has immense confidence that the former Prime Minister will become the fifth president of Kenya, and in turn safeguard his legacy.

Speaking in Kuria when Raila had held Azimio la Umoja rally, Arati called upon all Nyanza residents to register as voters in the ongoing mass exercise, predicting that the region will give Raila at least 3.5 million votes in the coming elections.

"As Nyanza Community, we have agreed that we will all stand with Raila Amollo Odinga. If we want to win more seats, we can only do this by getting our votes. The youths should register as votes because this time Raila we should get 3.5 million votes," said Arati.

President Kenyatta has for a while given hints that he was supporting Raila to succeed him, with most of his defending message being the peace that prevailed after the 2017 elections, and also after Raila's swearing in ceremony in 2018.
