Bomet former governor Isaac Ruto has suffered a blow after his CCM's party officials defected to UDA. The former CCM officials were given UDA branded t-shirts setting aside CCM's. The governor lauded their move saying he will ensure that they are registered.
"Officially received hundreds of former CCM grassroots party officials drawn from across the county who have made the wise choice of defecting to UDA, earlier today at Bomet, Upon their defection, they have expressed their wish to be registered as members of UDA and we have since made arrangements to have them enlisted in the party's national register," Wrote Barchok.
The governor has been advocating for a single party in the region asking the South rift political big wig Isaac Ruto to disband his party for UDA. The governor felt left out after the deputy President welcomed his longtime friend Isaac Ruto to his Tangatanga camp.
Isaac Ruto is championing the hustler narrative through his CCM party in what he calls 'Hustler Mashinani. His defection to Ruto's camp raised his politics. Most political leaders allied to the DP in the county are rooting for him instead of UDA's Hillary Barchok and John Mosonik.
