According to his recent post, he stated that their hearts are heavy for her lost. He added that it is even more devastating to consider the circumstances that she lost her life; the one who should ideally protect her is suspected to have been responsible for her death.
He said within them, they know the future Olympic Champion is no more; they are aware that the bright future was suddenly darkened. He said they leave everything to our lord as some things are beyond their comprehension.
He further said on Saturday several leaders will come in large numbers for her send off; that they will give speeches on how great she is, and how their athletes have done them proud. He said Nandi, Uasin Gishu and Elgeyo Marakwet will all eulogizing her as one of the greatest. He prayed that may her loss bring a moment of reflection to their leaders on how athletes have been handled in their region
He then called upon all leaders from Elgeyo-Marakwet, Uasin Gishu and Nandi to come up with training camps for athletes. He said this shall be the only way to honour and recognise the late Agnes Tirop.His post attracted several comments from Kenyans, majority of them joined him in mourning the brutal murder of Agnes Tirop.
