Waiguru claimed that there are two ballot boxes which have been sneaked into the counting centre which she claimed contained marked ballot papers.

Waiguru demanded that the counting must be stopped and the boxes removed before they proceed with the exercise.

"Rigging in broad day light - Two ballot boxes with governors' ballots enter Kianyaga through the back door in broad daylight! They MUST be removed and counting must stop! @IEBCKenya" Waiguru posted on his social media pages.

The race is being seen as a tight one between governor Waiguru who is defending the seat on the United Democratic Alliance party and Women representative Purity Ngirici who is vying on an independent ticket.
