Honourable Mike Sonko is the former governor for Nairobi County. He was elected as the governor in 2017 general election through Jubilee Party. Mike Sonko started facing problems on 2018 when his deputy resigned. According to his deputy, the governor was undermining him.
Mike Sonko was accused of corruption. He was later taken to court where he was barred from stepping into his office. Members of the county assembly of Nairobi impeached him. Since then, Mike Sonko has remained in the cold. According to him, those friends who used to be around him have vanished. Nobody is now interested in him anymore.
According to Mike Sonko's tweet, some of these fake friends can betray you just for money and materials things. This means that he was betrayed by his close friends just for favours. He said that it is better for someone to have enemies who will pin you down openly that than having friends like Judas Iscariot who will sell you soul anytime.
