Aisha Jumwa who is the UDA nominee for the Kilifi governorship position in Kilifi County is leading in latest polls.The vocal woman MP for Malindi and a big fan of the Deputy President is commanding a huge lead in the latest polls done by KTN News.
The Kilifi gubernatorial race has attracted about four contenders who are jostling to win the hearts of the of the coastal County.Other contenders in the race are Gideon Mung'aro of ODM who served as the immediate CAS for lands,George Kithi who is a lawyer based in Nairobi and is allegedly being sponsored by the outgoing Kilifi governor Amason Kingi,a principal in the Kenya Kwanza coalition and a little known aspirant known as Alphonse Mbaru.
The polls commissioned at 11:39 Am shows that Aisha Jumwa is leading with 70%,followed by Mung'aro with 26%.George Kithi has 2% while Alphonse Mbaru has a paltry 1%.
The gubernatorial race is heavily contested since it has a national appeal reflection.Aisha Jumwa and George Kithi are both members of Kenya Kwanza led by Ruto while Gideon Mung'aro belongs to Raila's party of ODM.
