Wiper Kenya Democratic Movement party members had a consultative meeting today to give direction on the matter surrounding its party leader Hon Kalonzo Musyoka and the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Movement. Hon Kalonzo Musyoka moved out of Azimio after failing to be nominated as its running mate and declared that he will be running for the country's top seat on his own.
The party had to vote on whether Hon Kalonzo Musyoka should go back to Azimio, run for presidency or join Deputy President Dr William Samoei Arap Ruto's Kenya Kwanza Alliance. But it has been exposed how many members wanted him to join DP William Ruto. According to a post by City Lawyer Senior Council Donald B Kipkorir, he said that only one member wanted him to join DP William Ruto's camp while 40 members wanted him back in Azimio. A total of 45 members voted.
"Wiper has 28 MPs & Senators … Today, the 28 plus nominees, a total of 45, voted on whether or not Kalonzo Musyoka should go back to AZIMIO. 40 voted that Kalonzo goes back to AZIMIO. 3 were confused. 1 voted he joins kenya kwanza. Only one wanted kenya kwanza." Tweeted by City Lawyer Senior Council Donald B Kipkorir
