A Run-off Between Ruto and Raila Might Happen According to A Research Analyst in an Interview on NTV

The contest between the front-runners, Mr. Odinga, 77, and Mr. Ruto, 55, appears to be close. A contender needs more than 50% of all votes cast nationwide and at least 25% of votes cast in at least 24 counties to win the presidential race in the first round.

Following the vote-counting process, officials will take a picture of the final results and submit them to the constituency and national tallying centers. The media, political parties, and civil society organizations have been urged to compile their own tallies using the official results announced in the more than 40,000 polling locations in order to ensure transparency. But only the electoral commission can declare the winner of the presidential election after verifying the physical and digital forms sent to the national tallying center.

Additionally, with the tallying process still ongoing, political expert Tom Wolf stated in an interview with NTV that he didn't anticipate a run-off, though one might be necessary given the present figures.

What are your thoughts on a run-off? Kindly share and follow for more updates.
