The Only Jubilee Party Aspirant August 9th Polls Whom President William Ruto Appointed as CAS.

President William Ruto yesterday unveiled the list of new Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) nominees as he continues to restructure his administration to enable seamless service delivery. Regional balancing, loyalty, gender balance as well as expertise are some of the key factors that were seen to inform how the President selected the 50 Chief Administrative Secretaries.

Apart from choosing his key allies and close political lieutenants who ardently supported and campaigned for his Presidential bid, President Ruto rewarded few political leaders who voted for Raila Odinga in the last general elections that took place on August 9th 2022.

From President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee Party, the head of state only appointed one ad a Chief Administrative Secretary. The politician is one Rehema Dida Jaldesa who was born on 29 July 1971. Jaldesa is the immediate former Women Representative of Isiolo County amd was picked by thr head of state as thr Chief Administrative Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Heritage is from ISIOLO County.

In last years general elections, Jaldesa sought to defend her seat on Jubilee Party ticket but lost in the polls to Mumina Bonaya. She garner 21, 702 votes against Bonaya's 23,994 votes.

In the 2017 general elections, Jaldesa defeated then incumbent Isiolo woman representative Hon Tiyah Galgalo in the hotly contest race during Jubilee party primaries. She garnered 18,361 votes against Ms Galgalo's 10,831. She went forward to win the Women Representative seat convincingly.

Before being elected to the Parliament in 2017, she served as the chairperson of the Kenya Industrial Estates (KIE). She is the widow of former Moyale MP Guracha Galgalo who died in the 2005 Marsabit plane crash
