A video has surfaced online showing an elected female Member of Parliament for Maragwa Hon. Maua being pushed by men in suit shouting at each other. The scenes were at Raila Odinga's event at Kasarani Stadium dubbed Azimio La Umoja Event, yesterday.
Murang'a Senator Hon. Irungu Kang'ata has shared the video on his Facebook page stating that the honourable Member of Parliament didn't deserve such treatment at an event which whose agenda was about unity 'Azimio La Umoja'. "My sister Wamaua Hon, MP Maragwa- you don't deserve to be treated this way at Azimio Meeting," the senator posted.
In the video, the Honourable Member of Parliament is heard to ask the men pushing her why they were acting that way and what they would do if Raila Odinga would go to state house. ".......mkifika State House itakuwa namna gani? Tunataka watu ambao wamenyenyekea. Mimi mjumbe amechaguliwa mnanisukuma kama gunia ya viazi?....mtatupata Murang'a," she cried.
