Kiambu Gubernatorial office is hotly contested by Wamatangi of the United Democratic Alliance party, Moses Kuria of Chama cha Kazi and William Kabogo Of the Tujibebe party. Interestingly all of these candidates support the candidature of his Excellency the Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya Dr. William Samoei Arap Ruto.

However, based on the recent developments, William Kabogo has made a retreat after what he calls favoritism to Wamatangi by Kenya Kwanza Deputy President-designate Rigathi Gachagua. On a Sunday afternoon, Kabogo has taken to his Twitter account to demonstrate an unsatisfactory stand after NTV Made a cartoon of him and captioned it "Kabogo gets carried away by his Tujibebe".
Kabogo has shown that the reason behind this distasteful caption is a business on an advertisement that he turned down. He has now posted a question "NTV this is what you do when one refuses to do business low vied TV?". His post has elicited mixed reactions from Kenyans from the two sides of the political divide.
