It is true to say that former Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has had a rough December. However, it seems his impeachment has not affected his Christmas spirit after he walked Nairobi roads dressed like Santa Claus and surprising Kenyans with a holiday gift.
Mike Sonko said "As we usher this festive season to celebrate the birth of Jesus I wish to encourage you all to extend your generosity & kindness to your neighbours & community. As Mother Teresa once said, “It’s not how much we give, but how much love we put into giving.” Mungu awabariki nyote."
Therefore, these are some of the reactions by Kenyans.
Ibnu commented "Sonko pretending to be a nice person by showing this, but he covers himself."
Benson Winston said "You don't have to be governor, just continue doing this. You don't have to lead in political cycles. Problems is when you do this to please the masses and ask for a seat , that's called voter bribery and we ain't fools. We shall point it out sir. Happy Christmas."
