Duale Exposes Trick Azimio is Now Using to Hype up It's Disappointed Supporters

The Azimio La Umoja alliance has resorted to lies in a bid to encourage it's disappointed supporters, Garissa Township Member of Parliament Aden Duale has claimed.

Duale says that this is the reason behind the controversial remarks being made by Azimio leaders lately, including the claim that the alliance is the majority in the National Assembly.

Duale says that this is not the case, and his Kenya Kwanza coalition is the one calling the shots in the house. He notes that this is among the lies being used to hype up Azimio supporters.

Duale maintains that it's clear that the President-elect William Ruto-led Kenya Kwanza has the majority in both houses, and the majority remark by Azimio Second in Command Martha Karua is misleading.

"Certainly this is a misrepresentation, twisting figures perhaps in an attempt to hype your supporters and create false hope can never be facts," the former National Assembly Majority Leader told The Standard on Wednesday.

He was reacting to Karua's claim that Azimio has 180 members in the house, pointing out that this is a lie and the alliance has 30 members less.

Duale says that Kenya Kwanza is leading with 160 members and counting, and is set to get more through nominations and in the parliamentary elections set to be held later.

"The Azimio coalition party has just around 150 members to the National Assembly and that makes Kenya Kwanza the majority," the leader further told the paper.
