UDA Party has finally found the successor of Rigathi Gachagua. This is in the race for the Mathira parliamentary seat in Nyeri whereby Gachagua would not be defending his MP seat after he was handpicked by Deputy President William Ruto as his running mate.
The UDA ticket has thus been handed to Konyu MCA Eric Mwangi Wamumbi, a youthful Nyeri politician who is very famous in Mathira County. This might explain why UDA saw it wise to hand him the ticket in hunt of maximum seats in Parliament for a smooth Government supposedly Deputy President William Ruto wins the 2022 general elections
Fast forward, the UDA ticket was handed to Konyu MCA Wamumbi by UDA Secretary General Veronica Maina in the party's offices in Nairobi. He will thus have to battle it out with other contenders more so 70 year old Wambura Wa Maranga who will be flying the Jubilee party ticket
