'We're Under Attack' Former MP Cries Foul After Alleged Gov't Forces Block His Convoy

Kyagulanyi Ssentamu poparly known as Bobi Wine is an opposition figure in Uganda.He is the party leader of the National Unity Platform (NUP) party.On Friday the politician and musician attended United forces of change end of year prayers at the Nsambya sharing hall.

While they were continuing with their prayer session he notified through his official Facebook that government security officers had been deployed at the Nsambya Sharing hall where the prayers were to be held.

"The regime has deployed heavily at Nsambya Sharing Hall, where we are gathered for end of year prayers.What a cowardly bunch," Bobi Wine lamented on twitter.

Those who were gathered for the prayers had to disperse after conflicts with the security officers who ended the event.Bobi Wine later informed that together with his convoy,they were intercepted on their way after the prayer session wwas cancelled midway.He revealed the some of his compatriots were being arrested.

"We're under attack.The military and police have intercepted us on our way from the blocked prayers.They're arresting comrades.We shall overcome! We shall not give up," he notified.
