"I Don't Know What Took Me To Jubilee, I Went Through Hell" Waithira Regrets Joining Jubilee Party

A powerful Jubilee candidate who was running for the Muranga women representative seat before she defected and joined the ruling party is currently in the lead in the competition to succeed Alice Wahome as the representative for Kandara in the national legislature. The current President put forward the name of a Kandara member of parliament as his pick for the position of Minister of Water.

Waithira Muthurainia is a former broadcaster who worked for Inooro TV. During her interview today, she broke down into tears while pleading with the senior leadership of the party to nominate him as the candidate to succeed Alice Wahome. Waithira has disclosed that she endured a harrowing experience while serving in the Jubilee.

"I would like to respectfully request that the President and his Deputy, along with UDA supporters in the Kandara seat, choose to nominate me as their candidate. I have no idea what compelled me to go to Jubilee. I went through the ring of fire. Every time I went door to door canvassing in Muranga, I was given stern warnings by the locals. I was aware that I would be defeated by UDA. Please accept me. I am eager to assist the people of Muranga in any way I can "Waithir mumbles these words through her tears.
