Today morning the voting exercise where all polling stations opened by 6.00am in the morning. The uncertainty was seen when the former cabinet secretary for sports Rashid Echesa harassing the IEBC clerk and even slapping the official.
Matungu by election was among the by elections that has been conducted by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries commission .
While addressing the media the IEBC chair Chebukati has now instructed the Kakamega police to arrest the former cabinet secretary for slapping the IEBC clerk. Chebukati further said that if the former sports cabinet Rashid Echesa if he had the problem with the officials he could have complained to the commission and not taking the law in his hand.
The matungu by election has witnessed more harassment from both UDA leaders,ANC leaders and IEBC clerk. The other incidence was witnessed when the form was found already signed by the presiding officers yet it was not yet time.
The chaos was witnessed when cleophas malala encountered with mob which forced his bodyguard firing his fire arm to disperse people who they are allegedly stole 2 million shillings from the senator and his bodyguard arrested over the same.
