The race to 2022 general election is slowly gaining momentum with the political bigwigs trying their best to see that they manage huge followings.Most of them have resorted to campaigning in the churches, something thar has began causing rejections from some churches with others resorting to closed door meetings.
The revelation about the cancellation of the much anticipated Mt Kenya Luncheon Foundation that was to be done on 28th September is a setback to Raila Odinga.The revelation has been made by People Daily.As reported,some officials were uncomfortable with Odinga's endorsement as the 2022 presidential candidate.Things started going wrong when they realised that Odinga was to be the Chief Guest.There were also uncertainty if this was the right moment to endorse Odinga for next year's poll.They expected Uhuru to Grace the occasion.
The cancellation of the meeting comes at a time when a section of Mount Kenya leaders have vowed to unite and bargain as one with the presidential hopefuls in case they need the Mount Kenya votes.The conveners of the cancelled luncheon have said that they are still consulting.This revelation is not some good news to Raila Odinga.
