A group of Maasai youth has come out to protest for the jailing of the former Laikipia North Member of Parliament Mathew Lempurkel by sending a message to Raila Odinga, threatening to note vote for him if he will not support the jailed legislator.
The youth asked Raila to kindly come out, and speak for Lempurkel who has been jailed who a whole year, without an alternative of even a fine, something which is not good at all according to them.

The group of youths went to state that Lempurkel was a very long term supporter of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party leader Raila Odinga, saying that they don't understand why he has decided to remain silent on the matter.
Mathew Lempurkel was sentenced to 1 year in prison after he was found guilty of physical assault after slapping the current MP of Laikipia North, Sarah Korere.
