Speaking in an exclusive interview on 12th March, Gachagua affirmed that Raila Odinga should not think anything to do with a handshake following his numerous demonistrations and mass actions that he has ignited.

"We have no intention to muscle the opposition, we want to strengthen the opposition. There will be no Handshake with anybody. If those people want to talk to us on matters development, we are ready, but them coming to join government, no," Dp Gachagua said

On Sunday during a church service, Sakaja requested President Ruto to have a dialogue with the opposition leader Raila Odinga for a possible handshake after claiming that the economy is harsh on common mwananchi and that Raila's call should be taken with lot of consideration.

"The economy is tough and people are struggling and when we are picking up I think it's time we talk and think of other ways because we are one country," Governor Sakaja on Sunday during a church service.
