Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala took to his social media platform to reveal what has been going on in the Kakamega County Revenue Offices and Procurement Department. According to the senator, he made an impromptu visit and what he found was shocking.
Malala revealed that he had got a tip-off from one of the workers working in that officers about a huge and massive corruption going on in those offices. Upon his arrival, he discovered gross misappropriation of funds. He went ahead to claim that there is also a deep-rooted Land syndicate.
" Following a tip-off from a member of the public, my team and I made an impromptu visit to the County Revenue Offices and Procurement department. I discovered gross misappropriation of funds and a deep-rooted land syndicate. I have furnished the DCI with this information and investigations are underway. We have no room for theft," Cleophas Malala started.
This move is aimed at settling scores with ODM Deputy Party Leader Wycliffe Oparanya who is also the County Governor of Kakamega. If funds are found to be have been misappropriated then governor Oparanya will have a hard task to answer.
This comes a few days after the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal reinstated Cleophas Malala as the Senate Minority Leader after he was ousted unceremoniously by ODM Senators. The wrangles between ANC and ODM seem it won't end any time soon.
For many times Cleophas Malala has alleged that there is massive corruption going on in the Kakamega County Offices under the watch of Governor Wycliffe Oparanya. Meanwhile, what is your take on this matter?
