Raila Denies Neglecting Western Region Development Agenda After Handshake

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga has refuted claims that he neglected the Western region on matters development after his handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Speaking during the funeral of Margaret Nandwale, mother of Moses Nandwale, the personal assistant of Tana river Governor Dhadho Godhana, Mr. Odinga insisted that the development records in Nyanza region are worthwhile since independence.

Governor Dhadho Godhana on his part backed Mr. Odinga's agenda for the presidency stating that all coastal counties will fully rally behind him. Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya also backed up Mr. Odinga's candidature saying it is time to revive the ailing sugar industry.
