The National Assembly's eighth speaker has been chosen to lead the 13th Parliament and take office. Formerly serving as the senator representing "Bungoma" County was His Excellency Hon Moses Masika Wetangula. He was chosen by many parliamentarians to defeat Kenneth, the nominee of the Orange Democratic Movement.
The Speaker will now sit in the same chamber as his youngest brother, who is a member of the National Assembly who was elected to represent the Westlands seat.
Tim ran away from the subject of whether he would support his blood brother in his campaign during his morning interview, revealing that he is a member of a different political party.
However, Wetangula thanked his brother for the assistance he gave him at his first speech after winning the election.
