The Riftvalley region have UDA party that is led by Presidential hopeful, William Somoei Ruto as their main party. We however, have some parties like KANU of Gideon Moi and Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) party of Issac Ruto but are having tough times selling their candidates against UDA. In the latest opinion poll from Kericho county, UDA candidates are leading by far.

In the Gubernatorial position, the race is being led by Eric Kipkoech Mutua of UDA with 69.6%. He is beating Samuel Rotich who has 16.8% in the rank and Elijah Kirui Maru who has 11.6%. 2.0% says they are undecided.

In the senatorial position, the current senator Aron Cheruiyot if UDA is leading with 71.5%. This is a seat he will win very early in the morning. He is beating Queenas Chepkemoi who has 13.1%, Lorna Cherono who has 12.9% and Brian Keter who has 1.5%. Further 1% are undecided.

In the women representative position, the race is being led by Beatrice Chebaibai Kemei of UDA who has 63.2%. She is beating Florence Bore Tapnyole who has 22.7%. Futher 14.1% are undecided.


Kericho and Riftvalley have fully accepted the UDA wave.
