President Uhuru Kenyatta after confirming the proposed Martha Koome's name,he has submitted her name back to the parliament for further investigation process. The outcome of the process will determine the fate of the lady justice.
Martha Koome has emerged the first female chief justice after a long session of interview which was conducted for a quite number of days. Many thought that a male Chief justice would be reinstated after the retirement of CJ Maraga. This is clear that what a man can do a woman can do better,Martha Koome has been a competent lawyer mostly fighting for human rights and this has enabled her to be selected among a number of the proposed names.
Most of the Kenyans are longing to see how Koome will dispense her duties as he upholds the Constitution and human rights claims. She has adequate experience in legal practice and a significant portion of her earlier work and she has been in public service as a defender of human rights.
