Former Law Society Of Kenya President Nelson Havi, has welcomed the appointment of the new judges by president William Ruto and congratulated those who were lucky to be appointed by the head of state.
The former Westlands constituency parliamentary candidate on the United Democratic Alliance party ticket further asked chief Justice Martha Koome to ensure that there are changes in the manner in which cases are being handled.
The Former LSK boss asked Koome to ensure that the period of handling cases be shortened now that she has got enough judges. Havi noted that delay of cases has been a serius issue at the Milimani High Court.
"Congratulations to the newly appointed Judges of the High Court. Chief Justice Martha Koome, please, ensure that hearing dates are not given 6 to 12 months away from the date of an adjournment as has been the order of the day at the High Court in Milimani. Justice delayed is justice denied." He posted on his official Twitter handle.
