After the 2017 general elections between Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga, Uhuru won the elections where they later shook hands to stabilized peace in the country.
Since the handsahake, William Ruto became uncomfortable with the entry of Raila Odinga into the government. Ruto started by accusing Raila of leaving behind his role of the oppositon leader.
However, Kithure Kindiki has said that President Uhuru Kenyatta sidelined William Ruto in 2018 and brought in Raila Odinga who let him down. Now, according to Professor Kithure Kindiki, Uhuru is complaining that William Ruto absconded duty contradicting himself with Raila Odinga.
"The President sidelined his deputy in 2018, and brought onboard people who have clearly let him down. Now he complains that his deputy absconded duty. The CONTRADICTION. Politics and its vicissitudes," Professor Kithure Kindiki said.
