Resist: Raila's Notice to Ruto

Saturday Nation reports that president Ruto's close allies are putting on a brave face amidst the mass action steps that Raila Odinga has taken.It also reports that the president's advisers remain cautious not to underestimate Mr Odinga but in public they are allegedly putting on a bullish face.The president also has already put in place plans to counter the Azimio leader.

Another story featured is that the police have launched investigations into the murder of Jeff Mwathi who allegedly died under mysterious circumstances in a popular Kikuyu DJ's house.There has been a public outcry over the manner in which the 23 year old died.

In other news,seven foreigners were sentenced to life and also charged billions in fines due to drug trafficking and related charges.The seven elderly people consist of six Pakistani nationals and an Iranian.The three were accused of trafficking to the country heroin worth sh1.3 billions.

Sh400 billion unpaid bills spell doom for parastatals

The star newspaper reports that state agencies might soon be facing hard times due to unpaid bills.It has reported that the agencies are being owed 400 billion that they are required to pay.Kenya National Highways Authority and Kenya Rural Roads Authority are the top two government agencies that with the highest debt of sh116 billion.

Also pioneer MP Grace Anyango who died a day ago was remembered for advising women to always fight it out in the political field.

Azmio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga made good his threats of engaging in mass action countrywide.Taifa Leo has mentioned that some of the footsoldiers who are with him include Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Martha Karua,Engine Wamalwa, senator Edwin Sifuna,senator Ledama Ole Kina,Jubilee secretary general Jeremiah Kioni and former governor Wycliffe Oparanya.

Prime cabinet secretary Musalia Mudavadi has called for talking order to solve some of the problems the country is facing.

President Salva Kiir is being accused of making unilateral decisions in South Sudan.The decisions have put a barrier between him and his deputy Riek Machar which has resulted into fear that peace will not hold as there might be rebellion.
