Honorable Saumu S.Hassan had been serving as the vice president in the second term. She was elected the first female V.P in the country for the first time in 2015 and was serving on her serving term. However, she will have to take up the reigns of leadership in absence of the late president as is allowed in the constitution.
She made History becoming the first female president in not only Tanzania but in the entire East African Community.
Tanzanian Netizens have expressed their sadness on loosing their president. They are however hopeful and look forward to experiencing the leadership of a female president. This is history in the Making.
