The General Elections slated for August 9th have been just declared official by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commision this afternoon.

This means that the date of the elections cannot be altered in any way and all seats will he vacant by then as millions of Kenyan head to the polls to vote for their new leaders.
The Chairman of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commision, Wafula Chebukati, has this afternoon made it official that August 9th 2022 will be the date for the General Elections.
Wafula Chebukati went ahead and outlined dates the preselection processes that are involved right before Kenyans head to the polls.
The 2022 August Elections will see various parties and thousands of candidates vie for various seats that will be left vacant in a few months.
The top seat in the country will be up for grabs as the main candidates, Deputy President William Ruto and Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga leading the pack.
