Uhuru in Nakuru today
The Deputy President and the head of state today had two separate engagements in different counties across the nation. Uhuru was in Rift Valley where he was overseeing the issuance of the charter to one of the counties which have attained the City status. His deputy on the other hand missed out on the vent choosing to hit the ground rolling as he campaigned.
Ruto missing out from today's function is a clear indication of the muddy waters that the two leaders are walking in as they seek to engage in next year's polls. Uhuru today openly campaigning for Raila Odinga saying that age should not be a factor of consideration for anybody seeking to be elected as president.
His deputy on the other hand countering him by saying that he is best fit to run the affairs of the country once the term of his boss comes to an end. The two are expected to battle it out in the coming weeks for the 2022 polls with Uhuru's heart behind Raila Odinga. Watch Uhuru endorse Raila here
