Early this year the nominated agriculture Cabinet secretary Mithika linturi found himself in the wrong hands of the law after a woman accused him of rape. The woman said that Mithika Linturi had entered in her room without consent where they shared the bed only for the woman to realise after her husband came back.

The woman went in court where on January where she revealed that linturi had agreed to solve the case amicably where he gave two hundred thousand in cash and eight hundred thousand as cheque on later to sue the couple for extorting him.

It a reprieve to the former senator after the thirty six years old woman withdrew the case saying that he had forgiven the politician after the talks outside the court saying that Linturi drunkness on the fateful day lead him to missing his room at maiyan villa Nanyuki where they where both clients.

The withdrawal of the case is a win for linturi ahead of vetting of the Cs where many have been blaming him for having a court case saying he is unfit for the office.
