Politics in Kenya is like boarding a plane and then through democracy, you are requested to vote for the captain. Two people present themselves.
One person says if you elect me as your captain, I will fly you safely to your destination, I have absolute experience and a commercial flight licence as well as certification from IATA.
The other, a layman, tells voters, I am not a pilot, I have no experience whosoever but I promise to put you all in the business class if you elect me.
At this point, allow me devolve this conversation to my county of interest - Kakamega..
Ladies and gentlemen, this is the exact situation we are in as a county, Fernandes Barasa has proved beyond reasonable doubt that he has a certified licence and can lead this county to greatness.
Under his tenure, we will have a smooth flight to 2027 and we will land alive and safe.
On the other hand, laymen are promising to put you all in Business Class : Seats reserved for the minority.
Avoid those chaps like a plague, they cannot fly a plane and will surely not even take-off from the run way.
The progress we have made as a county MUST NOT remain stagnant for 5 years because we elected incompetent politicians with no experience whatsoever.
Let us entrust our County to a man who has exhibited a remarkable vision and exemplary leadership.
Hon Ayub Savula the current member of Parliament for Lugari has no record of development to be given that opportunity. Roads in his constituency are impassable and the residents are really suffering.
Hon Khalwale has poor development records from the time he was a member of Parliament.
