Outgoing president Uhuru Kenyatta is yet to make a public comment after the conclusion of the elections. Kenyans haven't known what side he leans to even though his support to former prime Minister Raila Odinga was known throughout the campaign period.
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission declared William Ruto as the president elect on Monday, 15, August beating Uhuru's choice to succeed him. Raila's has however moved to the Supreme Court to challenge William Ruto’s win.
As Kenyans wait for the Supreme Court to start the hearing, Makueni governor elect has launched a stinging criticism of outgoing president Uhuru Kenyatta over the topic of addressing Kenyans in public. President Uhuru Kenyatta has been challenged by Mutula Kilonzo Junior, who wants him to leave the state House and give a speech to Kenyans.
Mutula argued that the president needs to break his silence and address the problems facing Kenyans especially after the general elections.
