Yesterday, local dailies reported that Gideon Moi, the Kanu chairman was having talks with Raila Odinga on the 2022 general elections. It is also reported that the talks for the pact were ongoing and with the blessings of President Uhuru Kenyatta, Gideon Moi is likely to be picked as Raila's running mate in 2022.
And now Mount Kenya billionaires have finally made a bold decision to support Raila Odinga for the presidency in 2022, despite the reports Raila could not pick his running mate for 2022 elections.
Reports by the Nation claimed that the Mount Kenya tycoons led by SK Macharia had a meeting yesterday night, where they discussed their stand on 2022 politics.
A source who sought not to be named and who attended the meeting said that they have decided to support Raila, as he has stood out as the best candidate. He also added they could not pick Ruto since he has constantly disrespected President Uhuru Kenyatta
"We could not pick DP Ruto because he has shown much disrespect to our President. Raila Odinga will have our support because we think he is the ideal candidate," the source confided to Nation.
