The Kenyatta and Wamalwa family are one of the prominent in Kenyan Politics but it's hard to imagine that the two are somehowly related. 
This is as according to Eugene Wamalwa who says that the family knew each other from the days when mzee jomo kenyatta was the president of Kenya.
According to Daily Nation, the former Devolution CS knew Uhuru Kenyatta even before he became president.

Also as per the report, the evidence of how Kenyatta's are related with Wamalwa's is that late vice president Michael Kijana Wamalwa married from President Uhuru Kenyatta's family. 
According to Eugene, his late brother married Dr Njoroge Mungai’s daughter Gathoni Mungai from a family that is related to the Kenyatta's. 
This relationship seemingly benefited Eugene when Uhuru Kenyatta served as the president of Kenya for 10 years where he was appointed as a Cabinet Secretary for the period.
