As we approach the general elections in 2022 leaders from Mount Kenya Region continues to give their different opinions concerning the person who should be the next president of Kenya. Even though the Deputy President William Samoei Arap Ruto has managed to reach every part of Mount Kenya wooing them to elect him to become the next president, some people feel that he is not fit to be one. William Ruto has captured the minds of poor people with the hustler narrative and the bottom up economic model which has made him very popular unlike other Presidential aspirants.
Senior government officers from Mount has aired their views concerning Mount Kenya. Here are some of the latest opinions from Mount Kenya Region which might be a big blow to William Samoei Ruto presidential ambitions in 2022. "It is not enough for the Mount Kenya people to have Deputy President. If democracy was to dictate issues, Mount Kenya should produce the president forever," Zack Kinuthia.
However, ICT Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru has reminded the youth to reject completely the wheelbarrow narrative being brought by Deputy President William Ruto in his campaigns for the presidency. These are people who are close to the president and might be communicating his voice and representing the people of Mount Kenya. Will Ruto become the next president if Mount Kenya will not support him fully?
