Murang'a Woman Representative Hon Sabina Chege alongside other Jubilee politicians have toured Siaya County to advise residents to register as voters. The vocal lawmaker touched down in Siaya on Friday and spent the major part of Saturday interacting with Siaya residents.
She was accompanied by the National Assembly Leader of Majority Hon Amos Kimunya, Bondo Member of Parliament Hon Gideon Ochonda, and Director Betty Maina.
"Aknowledging greetings from wananchi at Awelo market, Township ward, Alego Usonga Constituency in Siaya County as we sensitize them on high voter registration turnout" she posted on her social media platforms.
This comes after the leader of the Orange Democratic Movement party Raila Odinga complained that there is a low turnout in voters registration in his strongholds compared to his rivals regions. Raila urged them to come out in large numbers and register so that he can run for presidency in the upcoming August polls.
Sabina Chege is also expected to host the former Prime Minister in Murang'a County on 29th January as the ODM leader looks to popularize his Azimio la Umoja Movement in the Mt Kenya region.
