While addressing the residents in the local language, Nyeri Governor said he had been sent to the city of champions by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua to deliver his greetings to Eldoret residents.
He went on to conceive his political goodwill message to the Kalenjin community, saying they will stick together till 2042, While indirectly revealing that Gachagua will take over after Ruto in 2032, Mutahi uged Kalenjin community to remain united with Mt Kenya even after Ruto's tenure is over
"I came from Nyeri to Eldoret because I was sent to deliver DP Rigathi Gachagua's warm greetings. I want to say one word only, my Kalenjin people, we are together till 2042. Are we together? let's continue that way," stated Governor Mutahi as locals cheered wildly.
And even as Gachagua delivered the message in Kalenjin, Ruto could not hide his laughter as he was captured laughing uncontrollably.
This comes just days after Gachagua took issues with Ruo's camp, claiming a section of Rift Valley leaders in UDA were secluding the Mt Kenya region. His outbursts were however controlled by Rigathi Gachagua, who urged him to be tolerant and allow them run the government
