Governor Waiguru opens the 3rd Kirinyanga county assembly, commits to work with speaker and all MCAs

Kirinyanga governor Anne Waiguru has today officially opened the third Kirinyanga county assembly at the assembly buildings.

Today's first sitting was attended by county speaker, his deputy, the house leadership and all members of county assembly from the county.

In her speech, Governor Anne Waiguru committed to work with the house leadership and all members of county assembly from the county in serving Kirinyanga county residents.

Governor Anne Waiguru also outlined her administration's achievements for the last five years and the bottom- up promise plan guided by 2032 mountain cities economic blueprint.

" We have opened the 3rd county assembly of Kirinyanga. In my commitment to work closely with the assembly, I briefed on my administration's achievements for the last five years and outlined our bottom- up promise plan guided by our mountain cities economic blueprint" posted Ann Waiguru on her official Facebook page.

The second term serving governor also congratulated the newly elected assembly speaker and all members of county assembly.

Governor Anne Waiguru who doubles as the chair of council of governors won the hotly contested gubernatorial seat on a UDA party ticket by trouncing her close competitor, former Kirinyanga women representative Purity Ngirici who was vying as an independent candidate.
