EACC Reveals Two Properties Purchased by Former Governor Mwangi wa Iria's Wife

The Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission has this evening gone after the Former Governor of Murang'a County who is known as Honorable Mwangi wa Iria.

The Former Governor made a stab at the Presidency after the expiry of his two terms as the Governor of Murang'a County in August 2022 as per the reports that we have with us.

According to the available reliable reports that we have with us from the official social media handle of the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission, Former Governor Mwangi wa Iria's wife is said to have obtained two properties.

EACC has thus obtained Orders from the High Court of Kenya to freeze two properties that belong to Mwangi was Iria's wife pending the determination of a suit that has been filed for the recovery of 542,610,615.15 Kenya shillings from the former Governor and his associates in the matter.

The two properties belonging to the wife of Mwangi wa Iria were purchased by what the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission has termed as proceeds of corruption.
